If the child is a student and being claimed as a dependent on your tax return then only you can enter the education expenses on your tax return.  The Form 1098-T is entered on your tax return.

The simple answer is you report it on your return, since she is your dependent. The tuition credit goes to the person who claims the student's exemption (dependency).

The long answer is more complicated. The 1098-T is only any informational document. The numbers on it are not required to be entered onto your tax return. However receipt of a 1098-T frequently means you are either eligible for a tuition credit or deduction or possibly your student has  taxable scholarship income.

You claim the tuition credit, or report scholarship income, based on your own financial records. Unfortunately that sometimes means working around the 1098-T and the TurboTax interview. If you claim the tuition credit, you do need to report that you got a 1098-T.
