My company sent me home to work permanently. I am a W-2 employee. Can I write off my dedicated home office space and utilities?

UPDATED FOR TAX YEAR 2019

Unfortunately, no.  Your home office is considered an employee expense and this deduction is not allowed for tax years 2018-2025 as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
