My daughter lived with me the entire year but she made 2000 more than 4050. I paid for everything. why can't i claim her

In order to claim your daughter as a dependent, she has to meet the requirements to be either your qualifying child or your qualifying relative. She wont be your qualifying relative since her gross income is $4050 or more. She will probably meet the requirements to be your qualifying child if she is either under the age of 24 and a full time student or under the age of 19.
