Question

My employer matches my charitable donations, do I deduct only my contribution, or the entire amount of donation by myself and employer?

My company has a charitable donations matching program.  So for example, I donate $10, they donate $10.  My receipt shows what I donated, and what they matched.  Do I deduct the $10 for my contribution, or $20 for the full combined amount of contribution?

Deduct only the charity donation that you, personally contributed. Your employer will take the deduction for their contribution.
