Question

My home is undergoing mold remediation and I understand that some of it is tax deductible. Was Turbo Tax able to help you file for yours?

Sorry but you cannot deduct such a casualty loss unless it happened because of a federally declared disaster or it occurred before 2018 or after 2025, unless the law is changed.

If it was because of a federally declared disaster see this for how to enter and more info

from: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i4684.pdf page 2 ("Losses you can deduct")

For tax years 2018 through 2025, if you are an
individual, losses of personal-use property from
fire, storm, shipwreck, or other casualty, or theft
are deductible only if the loss is attributable to a
federally declared disaster (federal casualty
loss). See Pub. 547 for more information.
