Solved

My life partner quit claim deeded her home to me in August 2018. No mortgage. Home is paid off. How do I need to claim this on my taxes?

It would appear that the only item of any tax consequence would be real estate taxes that you were legally obligated to pay and that you actually paid during the tax year.

In light of the significantly increased Standard Deduction for 2018, unless you have other itemized deductions, the real estate taxes would likely make no difference in your tax liability or refund.
