Question

My partner is self-employed and we live in Canada. In the self-employed section of TurboTax, where do I enter foreign-sourced income that isn't on a 1099?

We believed that her income is not considered U.S.-sourced income, despite having completed some work for U.S. customers. TurboTax won't allow me to proceed without entering income somewhere, but my partner doesn't have any 1099s.

What is your and your partner's citizenship status? From your question I assume that neither of you were US residents during the tax year.

If your partner is a US citizen then he or she would enter her worldwide income. Entering self-employment income does not require any 1099's. Just go through the interview. Another question will be about SE income on 1099s. Another question will be "income not reported on a 1099" ...  (there are also other questions).
