Question

My Spouse is my dependent and is covered by a high deductible plan through my employer. I have an HSA though that plan. Does that mean my spouse has HSA too?

No, HSAs can only be owned by individuals. You have family coverage on your high deductible health plan which also covers your spouse. Your HSA is only in your name and can be funded up to the contribution limit for an individual with family coverage. Your spouse can also open an HSA if they wish since they are covered by your HDHP. However, this does not change the total contribution limit, unless your spouse is over the age of 55. In that case, if your spouse opens an HSA they can make an additional contribution of $1,000 to their HSA above your contribution limit.
