Did you enter income from a W-2 or self-employment?   If not, you will not have the additional child tax credit.   You need at least $2500 of income from working to get any additional child tax credit at all.

The Additional Child Tax Credit  can be claimed when the full Child Tax Credit can’t be used. It is the refundable portion of the child tax credit.

The Additional Child Tax Credit can be worth up to $1,600, depending on your income. You must have at least $2,500 in earned income to claim the credit.
