Question
My wife and I are bona fide residents of Puerto Rico. I am self employed and she is a Federal employee. How can I modify the standard deduction in TurboTax?
I did an override on line 16 in Schedule A where I modified the standard deduction according to publication 1321 and selected itemized deduction, so it would show the adjusted deduction. Nevertheless, it does not allow me to e-file because of the override. Is there another way that I can make this modification in TurboTax that will allow me to e-file?
