My wife has no ssn. we live overseas with foreign income. i want to file married jointly. it is forcing me to add a ssn. what do i do?

If your wife is a non-resident alien, and you wish to file jointly, you must declare her worldwide income on your tax return, (something you might not wish to do) even though she may get credits for foreign taxes paid.  Your alternative is to file as married filing separately, and print and mail your tax return (it can't be efiled without a social security number for your spouse).
