Question

need to opt out of payments but cant get into my account

I cannot get into my IRS account and ID.me is not recognizing me. what do i do to opt out of these payments.

    Hey KrisDCotton,

    If you haven't already, try going to the following link and see if it will let you opt out here.  https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/child-tax-credit-update-portal 

    If that doesn't work, you may have to call the IRS.  If you do need to call, try to call at 7am when they first open.  Lots of times you can get through better then.
