On other taxes in deductions why is it showing what I already paid in taxes?

It is showing what I have already claimed off my W-2's.  Is this correct.

Yes, this is correct.  It is automatically entered there because if you itemize your taxes instead of taking the standard deduction you can either claim the state and local income taxes paid or sales tax deduction. This saves you from having to enter it twice. 

If you do not itemize, nothing will be done with that number.
