Solved

Our home flooded in 2016 and resulted in us having to move our completely for 7 months. Do I qualify for any deductions and where would I enter these deductions?

There are no deductions for moving or for lodging expenses during that time. The only deduction you might have is a casualty loss if the cost of repairing your home and replacing items lost due to the flood was not fully covered by insurance.  You can type   casualty loss   into the search box, click Find then click Jump to

Are you in a federally declared disaster area, where the flooding occurred because of the disaster that qualified your area to be declared as such by the federal government?

Yes. It occurred in several cities and parishes all over  Louisiana in August of 2016.
