Paid two deductible for surgery in June. 1,200. To the hospital. And 390.00 to the doctor office. Can I file that on my taxes

Yes, out of pocket medical expenses such as amounts paid to meet your deductible and amounts paid to doctors can be claimed as medical expenses on your tax return.  You would enter any out of pocket medical expenses that you paid in 2023 on your 2023 return.  

 

However, even though you enter these expenses, you may not see a tax benefit unless you are using itemized deductions and your total medical expenses exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income.
