I have been paying my granddaughter's preschool tuition. She does not live with me so I cannot claim her as my dependent. Can I get credit for the tuition I paid? Thanks.

In fact, if your grandchild is attending preK so that her parents can work, they could use the expense on their tax return to get the childcare credit traduce their tax liability.
