What do I do for this section of Turbo Tax if the person was deceased before the second credit was approved and sent out?  He got the $1200 check.  If I show that he didn't get the second one it shows his refund going up by $600, but I don"t think that is right sine he was deceased?

A person deceased in 2020 is eligible for both stimulus payments. If he did not receive the second stimulus, you can claim on his tax return as the Recovery rebate credit.

Only individuals who died prior to January 1, 2020 are not eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit.

Please read question B1 in this IRS FAQ.

In TurboTax Online, to claim the Recovery Rebate credit please do the following:

    1. Sign into your account and continue from where you left off
    2. Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Federal Review on the top of the screen
    3. On the next page titled Let's make sure you got the right stimulus amount, click on Continue
    4. Follow the interview
    5. TurboTax will determine whether you are entitled to any additional stimulus
    6. Any stimulus amount remaining due to you will show as a credit on line 30 of your form 1040.
