Question

Refinancing mortgage interest messed up my return with the bug in their forms. How can I cancel the e-file and correct and resubmit it ?

Turbo tax didnt consider my all refinanced loans' mortgage interest. Looks like due to the forms restriction bug it limited mortgage interest.

I lost $2500 refund due to this bug.

After filing I came to know about this bug within 30 min going through this community.

My bad I should've verified before doing e-file.

But why Turbo tax didn't fix this bug.

I need to cancel my efile ,fix it, refile it to get my maximum lost $2500 additional refund.

Is it possible ??

    one you submit the return there is no way to cancel it. if it's accepted, you'll have to file an amended return after the original is fully processed. if it's rejected, then you can fix and resubmit.

    why TurboTax is not fixing this upfront and not sending notification on this bug ?

    They should be accountable for this flaw in their software.

    How would the normal customer know to get the forms tab fixed ?

    Grrrr...

    When will I be able to amend the tax return ?

    After getting IRS acceptance email ?
