My return was rejected with the following note:
/Return/ReturnData/IRS1116/ForeignTaxCreditSource/USTaxWithheldOnDividendAmt - Data in the return is missing or invalid.
We are just talking about foreign dividends from 2 US mutual funds off the same 1099 so I added the dividends and made a single entry identified as RIC and to the 2nd part, I don't have withholdings done specific to dividends?'
Any ideas on what is amiss?
