Rejection 8936 form

I keep getting rejections for Federal and State on my EV Hybrid car form 8936. How is this being corrected? everything is right on the form?

    There are a variety of reasons that your return could be rejected related to the Form 8936.  One common rejection is that the IRS cannot match the car's VIN to your SSN.

     

    1. First, ensure the dealer actually submitted the required form 14500 to the IRS
    2. Ensure you didn't relinquish the claim to the dealer.

    If you are certain that you qualify and the dealer did submit the required paperwork, you can paper-file your tax return.
