Hello Tax Community!

I am Self Employed and looking to deduct my 2021 Turbo Tax fees for tax preparation. Can someone point me to the correct location/category etc to correctly document this deduction? Is it in the Self Employed section, and maybe I use the services area to write in the expense?

Thank you

If you have expenses for your own business or self-employment, such as tax preparation, those are entered in the Wages and Income section, from the left menu.

  1. Scroll down to Self-Employment  and click on Show More
  2. Click on Start or Revisit for Self-employment income and expenses
  3. Click on Add expenses for this work

If you do not see Legal and Professional fees click on Less Common.

Then click though the page numbers at the bottom until you see it on the list, then check the box and Continue.

You may enter the full price of Self-Employed or Home and Business because they are bundled with the other personal forms and there is not a separate fee for Schedule C
