Should I file a state tax return if I reside outside of the us? (used my grandmother's address as mailing address I couldn't put a foreign address)
first time filing a US tax return, when setting my addresses the site wouldn't allow me to use a foreign mailing address for my federal tax return so I used my grandmother's address (for mailing address not residency address). I received an Email from turbotax stating that I need to file a state tax return for Georgia (my grandmother's state of residency) but I do not live nor have earned any income there, do I need to file a state tax report?
