Standard Deduction

Want to SKIP ITEMIZING AND TAKE THE STANDARD DEDUCTION.  Was told to scroll down to Wrap up tax breaks.  It insists on ITEMIZING!!  I need help accessing WRAP UP TAX BREAKS W/O  ITEMIZING.  Pls. help me do this. Thanx.

    Yes, you may select standard deduction over itemized deduction.  To switch:

    1. Click the Federal Taxes tab. ...
    2. Then, Deductions & Credits. ...
    3. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and click Wrap up tax breaks. ...
    4. Continue through the interview screens.
    5. The last screen will give TurboTax's suggestion for a deduction titled "We've chosen [standard or itemized] for you"

     Eligible taxpayers use Schedule A  to figure itemized deductions.  In most cases,  federal income tax will be less if you take the larger of your itemized deductions or your standard deduction.
