If property is placed in service in 2021 or 2022, you had a choice to use standard depreciation or bonus depreciation in that year. Then, going forward, you follow the depreciation schedule that you got when the property was placed in service. If you did not properly claim the bonus depreciation in the year the property was placed in service, you either continue with standard depreciation, or go back and amend the prior returns.
