Stimulus for baby born in 2019

We had a baby born in 2019 but the credit was not included in either of the stimulus payments. When I did my taxes with turbotax it said that we have received the correct amount of money. I believe it is incorrect. There are 2 adults and 3 kids and we received a total of $5800. But we should've received $6,900 because 2 adults and 3 kids. Is there a way to override TurboTax so we get the extra stimulus money? Or Am I wrong in thinking we should get more?

PS. Our AGI is was less than $150,000 and we file married filing jointly.

Any help is appreciated

You should check the ages of your children on your tax return.  That is normally the issue.

In order for a child to qualify for the Recovery Rebate Credit they must be age 16 or under on your 2020 tax return and qualify for the Child Tax Credit.

If any child is 17 or older on your tax return, they will not qualify and therefore your Recovery Rebate Credit would be $5800 and then reduced by any amounts already received as stimulus payments in rounds one and/or two.

Thank you for the info. I actually noticed that was how long they were in the house. I just used the same info from last year so on the return it said my daughter only lived with us for 5 months. I changed it to the whole year and BAM!!! Everything changed and now I get the credit. I won't be suing the same info again cause that is a big error.
