Can I write off a percentage of the mileage I travel to pick up vitamins and supplements specifically recommended by my doctor for my lyme disease?

No, you can't deduct medical mileage for travel that is for the improvement of your health (which is what you are referring to). You can deduct medical mileage for medical visits and to pick up prescriptions.

Refer to the IRS website What medical expenses are included for transportation and the TurboTax Help article Can I deduct medical mileage and travel?

Thank you for your reply. The supplements are not for general health. As I mentioned it is to manage my Lyme disease that was specifically advised by my doctor.

There is a difference between recommended and prescribed.
