Tax Year Prior to 2020: deductions

I entered the wrong amount of property taxes and it will not let me edit to correct it.  I think it may be because I am over the $10,000 limit and the amounts don't matter.  How can I correct it so the Illinois property tax credit is correct?

You should be able to edit the amount. Go through the interview questions again for your house so you can edit the amount. As you said if actually the change might not make any difference if you have more than the $10,000 limit.

In some states there is a conflict, where federal and state appears to be inconsistent with the amount of refund or amount owed. Depending on what is advantageous to the taxpayer, there is a choice between taking the standard deduction as opposed to itemizing.
