turbo tax tells me I'm not eligible for an education tax break because my daughters scholarships and grants exceed her education expenses. BULL**bleep**!! I paid an additional $12 037 over and above her scholarships. Why was I not allowed to enter the $32,685 total education expense from line 1 of the 1098T?? then it says she has to pay TAXES on the $20,648 in scholarships and grants. this outrageous!

Your software is SCREWED UP! How do we fix this, I paid you for Turbo Tax Premier, if there's no way to fix this then send me my money back!

I will suggest you go back and reenter the 1098-T again.

Follow the instructions to enter your 1098-T:

    1) From Deductions & Credits

    2) Move down to Education and under Expenses and Scholarships (form 1098-T) hit Update

    3) From the page that says Now Let's Gather The Additional Education Expenses

    4) Hit Continue. You will need to continue through several screens until you get to the

screen that says Your Education Expenses Summary

    5) click Edit

    6) At Here's Your Education Summary you can Edit, Delete or Add New School
