Question

The "Just checking if you're a home owner"?

One of the last questions under the deductions and credits section is "Just checking if you're a homeowner?".  

How should I answer this question if I own a home, but rent it out and have entered the property taxes, interest in other areas of the program?

The simplest thing to do is to answer 'No' you are not a home-owner. 

The question is really referring to whether you own the home that you live in, not whether you own a rental property.  If you answer 'Yes', you will be asked to enter information about your primary residence that would not apply to your situation.
