Question

There is a bug in the Mac version of TurboTax Deluxe. In Schedule C, on the Home Office Deduction, data in the individual fields is cut off-- when will this be fixed?

This bug was present in last year's TurboTax as well. Fields for the overall home expenses are cut off, only displaying the first digit to the left. This is the EasyStep page for Form 8829. Why is it that Intuit is incapable of finding and squashing UI bugs like this?

It's not a screen resolution problem. It ONLY occurs on one page, as described earlier. And it was the same last year. It's a bug in the program interface itself.

I resolved it by switching to the forms view, where you can see the data entered in each field. In the Easy Step view, you cannot see all the data.

Again, it's ONLY on that particular screen, not the whole program.

I can confirm I am seeing the exact same error on a Mac.

Please follow the instructions here to manually update the software, as this should resolve the issue.

Please let us know if this does not resolve the issue. @bstetson @dakotakid
