Question

There's a portion of Michigan Car Insurance Premiums dedicated to health care/disability. Where can I write this off?

It was a new MI. Law in 2020 and was told it can be written off.  I recall seeing a TT entry point, but can't seem to find that TT entry point now . . .

The health care portion of your auto insurance can be claimed on your taxes the same way as any medical expenses or health insurance premiums.  The premium would be included in the medical portion of Schedule A and are only able to be claimed if your total medical premiums and expenses exceed 7 1/2% of your AGI and you have enough deductions on Schedule A to itemize.   If your Schedule A does not exceed the standard deduction for your filing status, you cannot claim the expense.
