Trying to verify why I'm getting $0 for EV charger credit.

I've seen many people have issues understanding why their EV charger credit, form 8911, comes back with a $0 value in TurboTax. Seems like the program needs to help people understand this more. My searching shows it could be due to AMT calculations. 2 things: how do I verify this (I don't know how to check the AMT calculations or how TurboTax is filling out form 8911 - can we view that somehow?). Second, please update the program to explain this and eliminate the many, many posts of why this $0 appears. Other parts of the program explain how a value was calculated, this one could use similar help to avoid the confusion (is it b/c of my AMT, something else?).

The error message on Form 8911 in TurboTax says :

The IRS made updates to Form 8911 - We are planning on having these updates incorporated into TurboTax by 02/21. Please check back after 02/21/24.
