Turbo Tax 1040 glitch

My filing status was entered correctly but the turbo tax system has a credit on my 1040 that I did not claim nor will I qualify for. It has me receiving eitc which I am automatically disqualified for. When I was entering my information the system told me I didn’t qualify which I already knew. My husband and I are not separated and he did not claim eitc for his return but his 1040 is correct.

My return has yet to be approved by the IRS!

- I used the desktop version on on my macbook

- basic

Yes. Here is a solution that should clear this up.

  1. Open your Turbo Tax return
  2. Go to Federal Taxes
  3. Deductions and Credits
  4. You and Your Family
  5. Earned income Credit
  6. If the questions appear, disqualify your self from this section
  7. However , if you receive the message telling you do not qualify, go to the forms mode of your software.
  8. Delete all forms that mention EIC, including all schedules and worksheets.
