Question

Turbo tax gave me a child tax credit for my 17 year olds, why? I have already filed and just now noticed it.

Go to My Info and check the dates of birth you entered.  It goes by the age at the end of 2019.  Was your child 17 at the end of 2019?

Look at your 2019 Form 1040 to see the child-related credits you received
