Turbotax /Incorrect Child Tax Credit

I am in the process of entering deductions and credits for 2024 and even though I have 2 children, Turbotax is calculating my credit as $2500.  My MAGI is below $400k and I am filing married filing jointly.  Any ideas on what I need to check?

If you have a child who is age 17 or older then they are only  eligible for the Other Dependent credit of $500.

Did a child turn 17 in 2024?   You lose the CTC when they turn 17, and instead you get the $500 credit for other dependents.

I've also encountered the same issue, however, one my kids turned 18 in 2025 and I believe that TT is incorrectly only given me a $500 dependent tax credit for her. My understanding is that since she was 17 in Tax Year 2024 - I should get the full $2000 child tax credit for her.

To be a qualifying child for the 2024 tax year, your dependent must: be under 17 at the end of the tax year.
