Turbotax online Deluxe Glitch : Amount from box 2a of Div 1099 did not add to total income

Turbotax online does not add the amount from box 2a to the total income causing a tax calculation issue. This glitch needs to be rectified by the TurboTax team. I don't know how many users have been affected by this issue. I was not able to file my tax due to the confusion from this. In my case, the amount is being shown but it does not add and hence the total tax is different than it should be. This is a serious issue and the TurboTax team needs to look into it immediately.

Box 2a are qualified dividends that are calculated on the "Capital Gains and Qualified Dividends" worksheet and depending on your other income can have a 0 (zero) tax rate.    Probably correct.  look at that worksheet.

2a is capital gain distributions not qualified dividends (1a).   could you have capital losses that offset these?  look at schedule D. you should see this amount on line 13.  line 22 of schedule D flows to line 6 of form 1040

Right - I was thinking of the 2nd box on the form which is line 1b not 2a.
