Uber expenses and deductions
for Uber business expense items like liability insurance, phone, etc do I use my annual cost or must all of them be prorated % of uber time vs total time
Yes, you would prorate your phone costs for use for Uber vs total time.
If you are talking about vehicle liability insurance, this would only be deductible if you are NOT taking the standard mileage deduction. The standard mileage deduction rate already accounts for things like liability insurance, vehicle depreciation and tires.
