Question

Under charitable donations, TT includes an entry "real property - not conservation property". Is this the right place for a donated conservation easement?

The easement has been recorded, was to a qualified charity, and I have a supporting appraisal.

No, that is not the right place to enter the conservation easement.

 

Enter it in the Charitable Donation interview as an "Other Intangible item". Enter  "donation" in the Search window and select "Go to Donations" from the search results.

 

The answers to the interview will generate Form 8283.
