Question

We do not have a Mortgage origination date. I am not able to move forward on my filing. How can this be fixed?

Why am I being asked for a mortgage origination date when our home was purchased with cash?

    If you do not have a mortgage there is no need for you to complete a Form 1098. 

     

    To enter just the property taxes paid -

    Click on Federal Taxes
    Click on Deductions and Credits
    Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
    Under Your Home
    On Property Taxes, click on the start or update button


    Or enter property tax in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to property tax
