Question

We have taken over a $100,000 loss on our home since 2008. Are we able to show that loss on our taxes? Can we take child care expenses for grandchildren?

You mean your home is worth less now than what you paid in 2008?  Sorry, there is no tax deduction for that.  Are the grandchildren dependents on YOUR tax return?  If not, then you cannot get the childcare credit.  You can only get the childcare credit if they are your dependents and you paid someone to take care of them so you could work.
