Question

We sold our home in Nov 2017 and purchased new home in Dec. 2017. I entered info for the sale but wasn't prompted for purchase of new home. What and where do I enter it?

I have the closing statements for the sale and purchase but I just don't know if I'm supposed to enter any info regarding the purchase, especially since I wasn't prompted with questions for it.

    The purchase of a personal residence, not used as a rental or in a business, is not reported on a tax return.
