We use our Class C motor home for business. What TYPE of vehicle do I use on Schedule C? Turbo Tax does not offer an RV option.

Use the category truck or van over 6,000 pounds or heavy truck over 14,000 pounds, which ever is closest to your RV's weight.

  • The vehicle deduction is not affected by either of these two options.
  • The most important thing is to have the correct dollar amount of the deduction and that you have proof of your actual vehicle expenses or log of mileage (whichever you are using).
