What do i need to do and show for the expenses incurred for it to be considered "mileage expenses for volunteer work"?

Based on the chart I'm linking below, you're allowed $.14 (14 cents) per mile that you traveled for charity work.  You can calculate your mileage expenses by multiplying your miles traveled for volunteer work times  by .14.
