    If there was something wrong with the input of your form for e-filing, you’d get a rejection notice from the IRS and you could correct any issues and re-file your return. 

    If this is your issue, please see the TurboTax Help article "How do I fix a rejected return?" for guidance, and the article "What does Rejected mean?" for a bit more in-depth explanation.

    On the other hand, if there was something wrong with your return as far as amounts of income or withholding, or claiming credits or deductions you might not be entitled to … in that case, you’ll probably want to amend your return.
