What is the 2025 HSA contribution limit for married couples? My husband and I have separate self-only HDHP plans. Does the $4300 individual or $8550 family limit apply?

From the IRS documentation, it seems to me like we should both be able to contribute $4300 in our own HSA accounts since we don't have family health coverage. My company is telling me that the $8550 family limit would still apply. Can anyone provide more information?

The HSA contribution will be $4300 each since you won't have family coverage at any time in 2025.

I have posted a link to the 2023 instructions for form 8889. see those for line 3 but use the 2025 limits

The family coverage limit only applies if either or both had a family coverage HDHP.
