What value do I put for the foreign tax credit?

I'm trying to figure out what I put for my foreign tax paid. Do I put the income reported on my foreign tax froms like a T4? Do I put the actual tax paid on that income if they over or underreported it? Or do I put the amount of tax I paid at the end of my tax return after I apply all my tax credits and what not?

Yes. You would put the actual tax paid as it is reported on the T4.

So do I not add in any deductions and credits that are applied to it?

If your deductions and credits were applied against your gross income in Canada, you would report those deductions and credits applied against that income.
