Question

What would I classify the income for a daycare if it didn't make enough to pay the owner?

If you received Income for operating a Day Care, you report this as Business Income on a Schedule C.

You would report your Expenses on Schedule C also. It is possible to have more expenses than income for your business.  Be sure to keep good records.

Type 'schedule c' in the Search area, then click on 'Jump to schedule c'.

Once you indicate you have a Day Care business, TurboTax asks questions to help you report your income and expenses.
