The child tax credit section is not fully updated so you need to be patient for a few more days until it is ready.   In January you are going to receive a letter  6419 from the IRS that shows how much--if any-- advance monthly CTC payments were sent to you.   That will have to be entered on your return and then the amount of CTC still owed to you will be reconciled on your 2021 return.

My child was born in 2021 will I still get that form in the mail?

@em3shelley-gmail If you did not get any advance child tax credit payments during 2021 then no, you will not receive a letter from the IRS.    If you have a child who was born in 2021 then you just need to enter the child as a dependent in My Info.

Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. If your child was born in 2021make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.

Wait for the software and forms to be updated for the child tax credit.
