Question

When I go to the doctor , dentist,have lab work ,x-rays, mamogram, I need some one to drive and push me in a wheelchair. where do I deduct this on my return?

You are allowed to deduct your total medical expenses that exceed 7.5 percent of your adjusted gross income in any tax year. You must itemize your deductions to claim this deduction.

These can include transportation expenses, including taxi, bus, plane or other means to get to and from your medical appointments.

 

In the TurboTax medical interview, you will eventually reach a screen titled "Tell us about anything spend on medical travel". Enter the total, you paid, for the year in the box called "Other (bus, parking, taxi, etc)". You do not list each ride separately.
