where do I add my mortgage and interest? (turbo tax said to add it under deductions and credits, but its not an option there)

I have my 1098 on paper, i would like to add it, but its not an option under deductions and credits. where do i add it if its not there.

Go to Federal> Deductions and Credits> Your Home to enter mortgage interest, property taxes, and mortgage insurance that you paid in 2024 You should have a 1098 from your mortgage lender that shows this information. Lenders send these in January/early February or you may be able to import the 1098 from the lender’s website.

You didn't say what version of TurboTax you are using. If you are using TurboTax Online Free Edition you cannot enter mortgage interest. You have to upgrade to Deluxe.
